The Taoist Water Tradition By practising physical and energetic exercises, principally for health and eventually as a meditation, a person can start to unbind their tense and blocked being. The Taoist Water Tradition doesn't use an unbending intent to force through these blockages. Such an intent can let the mind go past what the body can cope with. This has the potential for leaving gaps in your foundation which only become apparent further down the path. The Water Tradition involves a constant relaxed but pliable intent, referred to as the Golden Thread; keeping your attention on something but having no demand on something. Working to your weakest aspect your mind gently guides and observes your body, enabling a solid foundation to develop. |
